Probationary Tenure Bill Also Passes Assembly
Just one day after the Senate has passed S.6090-a, reducing the probationary tenure period for school administrators from four to three years, the Assembly has followed suit, passing its version of the same bill, A.8108.
Again, these bills would reduce the probationary tenure period from four years to three years for principals, supervisors, and members of district supervisory staff who have received tenure in another district in the state, their current school district, or BOCES.
The bill will now go to the governor’s desk for signing. Watch for further updates.
