Ed Groups Issue Joint Paper on Restorative Practices
The New York State Educational Conference Board (ECB), a collaboration of six leading educational organizations of which SAANYS is a member, firmly believes that when implemented properly, research-based restorative practices can help schools achieve positive outcomes. However, the group also firmly believes that school districts must have the flexibility to establish student discipline policies at the local level and have the option to choose from a continuum of responses to address student behavioral issues.
