Help Secure School Resources w/ the 2020 Census
The 2020 Census count impacts the federal funds that communities receive for programs and services that are critical for schools and students, including special education, head start, after-school programs, free and reduced-price school lunches, and child health programs. As community leaders, the US Census Bureau is reaching out to school administrators for help communicating about the importance of everyone being counted this spring. Resources include:
- An easy to distributed flyer for families that can be sent home with students. The flyer is available in multiple languages: Click here for English, here for Spanish, and find other languages online here: https://bit.ly/3c6noGc.
- A second flyer that specifically addresses the importance of counting young children, an often undercounted population in the Census. Download that flyer here.
- A US Census recruitment flyer for individuals seeking supplementary, temporary employment. Download that here.
These resources, plus additional Census information for educators, can be found by visiting: https://www.census.gov/programs-surveys/sis/2020census/get-involved.html. - Share or post this promotional Census video.
