Regents’ Suggest Amendments to Current APPR Proposed Regulations

Position Paper Amendments to Current APPR Proposed Regulations was written by seven members of the state Board of Regents. It recommends an extension for implementation of the new system, as well as revisions of regulations contemplated by SED in regard to the Teacher Performance and Teacher Observation categories of the new APPR system under §3012-d. For your information, we have also attached the latest APPR recommendations submitted to the State Education Department by SAANYS, on June 3. Please note the Board of Regents will be presented “action items” in regard to APPR and receivership at their next meeting, on June 15-16.
