February 12, 2026 - 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Please join us for a four-part virtual series specifically designed to support general education school leaders with special education issues in their school or district. The sessions are presented by SAANYS member practitioners with extensive special education leadership experience, and designed to be engaging, practical, and informative. The topics are those that members who are general education leaders have requested. All sessions are from 4-5:30 pm.
When: February 12, 2026, 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm

Presenters:
Rocco Nalli, New York Council of Administrators of Special Education, Board of Directors
Mindy Howard, Principal of McNamara Elementary School for the Baldwinsville Central School District
This workshop supports school and district leaders in strengthening inclusive practices through effective co- teaching and intentional mindset shifts. Administrators will examine the leadership conditions that make inclusion work, clarify roles and shared responsibility in co-taught classrooms, and explore how instructional models and staffing decisions impact student outcomes. Participants will engage in guided reflection and discussion to assess current practices and identify leadership levers for change. Leaders will leave with a clearer framework for supporting co-teaching, aligning expectations, and advancing a culture of inclusion across their schools.
Those who attend three or four sessions will receive a complimentary copy of The Principal’s Special Education Calendar: A Month-by-Month Roadmap to Building Consistency, Equity, and Compliance in Your School by Dr. Joanne Lane.
