SAANYS Region 6 Leadership Breakfast & Scholarship Awards
When: May 18th from 9am – 11am
Where: Vista at Van Patten Golf Club in Clifton Park

Each year, the SAANYS Region 6 Board holds its annual Leadership Breakfast to recognize leadership in all of its forms in our schools. This year our breakfast will be held on May 18th from 9am – 11am at the Vista at Van Patten Golf Club in Clifton Park.
SAANYS Region 6 2026 Scholarship Application
Congratulations on being an outstanding student at one of the Capital District area schools. You may be eligible to apply for a SAANYS Family Member Scholarship, SAANYS School Affiliation Scholarship, or both. Please complete all sections and submit by April 2nd, 2026. All applicants will be notified in writing if they are awarded a scholarship. ** PLEASE NOTE that this application must be completed in one sitting. Before you begin the application, make sure that you have the following readily available:
– Family member SAANYS ID (if applicable)
– Contact information for your building principal (email and phone)
– Electronic version of your Official High School Transcript, ready to attach
– Electronic version of your Resume or Statement of Activities & Achievements, ready to attach
*Nominations must be received before April 3*
Awards:
Jennie C. Pennington Award – recognizes an individual whose dedication & exceptional contributions throughout their career have made a difference for children & communities.
Friend of Education Award – honors an individual, group, or organization that has supported outstanding public school education & serves as a role model.
Excelsior Award – awarded to individuals whose dedication & exceptional contributions throughout their career have made a difference for children & their school community.
Student Leadership Awards – acknowledges up to four students in grades 5-12 who demonstrate positive character, effort in the classroom, & involvement in co-curricular activities.
